Tips for Solve ,Jasper Report Related Issues

 Some  times   while  u    making   jasper  report ,  Some  times  your   jasper   report  (YOUR_REPORT_NAME.jrxml   file) may  be  not  able   to  open and   some  times  it  may  give   error  like  "premature    file   ..........." . If   so  then  look at  your 

YOUR_REPORT_NAME.jrxml   file  where  you  have saved , mostly  it  size will  be   0  Kb , That   means  it  has  no  data   , You  have  lost  your  report  that   you  made . 

So  now  you  have   to  recover  your  report , 

Check   folder  that  your report  saved ,whether  there   is  YOUR_REPORT_NAME.jasper  file .  If  so  there  is  easy  way  to  recover  your  report . This  is  the   way 

 

 Open  your  iReport  software   FILE > OPEN    then  go inside  to  your    report  saved  folder  , Then   change FILES  OF TYPE  to ALL TYPES .Then  you  will able   to   see   YOUR_REPORT_NAME.jasper  file and  select  it  open  it   .

After  selecting  it  there  will  be   pop  up  window  asking whether  to  convert   YOUR_REPORT_NAME.jasper to   .jrxml    file . 

Click  ok  and  give ok to  replace existing   your .jrxml  file . Then  you will able  to edit   and save your  report   you  made  before   as  usual .
But  personally   I  advice  you  to   take  backups of  you  reports . Then    you   will  able  to  reduce  damage  due  to  sudden  lost  of  your   .jrxml  file .
